Our School Day starts at 8:50am.
8:40 - 8:50am
Children to arrive at school. The gates are open and staff are available to supervise in the playground from 8:40am. If possible, please ensure that your child is not at school before this time as we cannot be responsible for their safety. If you need to your child at school before this time, a breakfast club is available for them to attend that can be accessed via the MCAS App.
8:50 - 9:00am
Registers are taken at this time. If for any reason your child will be arriving into school after this time, please let either the class teacher or the school aware.
9:00 - 10:15am for KS1 and 9:00 - 10:30am for KS2
First session before break. In most classes, this is the lesson in which either literacy or numeracy takes place. However, with the introduction of the International Primary Curriculum, there is flexibility for the type of learning which takes place.
10:30 - 12:00pm for KS1 and 10:45 - 12:00pm for KS2
This is the session which takes place after break, and is once again usually either literacy or numeracy in most classes.
12:00 - 13:10pm
Lunchtime. The school offers hot school lunches which can be ordered a week in advance at £2.25 per day or £11.25 per week. However, children are also welcome to bring their own packed lunched to school with them.
13:10 - 14:15pm for KS1 and 13:10 - 14:30pm for KS2
This session after lunch is used for topic lessons following the International Primary Curriculum. The children also follow a timetable for ICT and PE/Games.
14:15 - 14:30pm for KS1 and 14:30 - 14:45pm for KS2
Afternoon break.
14:30 - 15:30pm for KS1 and 14:45 - 15:30pm for KS2
Final session before home time.
The total time pupils spend in school in a typical week is 33.3 hours.
