After lots of hard work, we are on the point of being recognised as a ‘Healthy Place’. This has replaced the ‘Healthy School’ status which we previously held, and includes -not only the children – but also the staff, families and the wider community sharing the sense of well-being which we are nurturing.
There are 5 areas which we are working hard to promote:
- Healthy eating
- Mental health and well-being
- Alcohol awareness
- Supporting non-smoking
To get further information about all of these areas, why not visit Change for life
In the school reception area you can find our ‘Healthy Places’ parents’ information board, where we will keep you up to date with new initiatives and local support.
Alternatively, visit the NHS choices website.
Spring is in the air, let’s get out there and make a difference. What are you waiting for?
